I'm Mhel B. Bustamante, a GIS Developer and 4th Year BS Information Systems student majoring in Business Applications Development at West Visayas State University in Iloilo City.
My work sits at the intersection of geospatial analysis and software engineering — building GIS-powered platforms and spatial decision support systems with React, Node.js, Python, and tools like QGIS, PostGIS, and Leaflet.

Every system I build starts with a real problem. Technology is only as good as the impact it has — if it doesn't solve something meaningful, it's just code. I build things that matter to actual people.
Being a Business Applications developer means I understand both sides. I don't just write features — I think about workflows, efficiency, scalability, and the business logic that keeps organizations running.
Good is better than perfect. I believe in shipping real, working software over endlessly polishing in isolation. Iteration with real feedback beats theoretical planning every time.
Fascinated by how spatial data can reveal patterns invisible in a spreadsheet. Maps that tell stories — that's the hook that drove my thesis.
Interested in game systems and UI/UX — how games make feedback loops and progression feel so satisfying, and what that teaches about software design.
